WHITE TEA
Throughout the generations almost every type of tea has been used as a medicine in one form or another. But now many people are extolling the benefits of white tea as an excellent overall supplement for general wellbeing.
White tea is made from new buds and young very gently dried tea leaves. Because of the careful light processing involved in this process, the leaves retain all of their antioxidants. These are molecules capable of inhibiting the oxidation of other molecules in the body. All antioxidant agents work in this way to protect cells from the damage of what we call free radicals otherwise known as chemical compounds.
Produced in our body during normal metabolism free radicals can emerge as a result of an unhealthy diet or exposure to pollution, tobacco smoke and chemicals. They are also believed to be involved in the cause of many cancers and the onset of cardiovascular disease.
With our weight in mind we create fatty tissue by both increasing the size of existing fat cells and by creating new ones. The main component of fat cells are known as Triglycerides, and are particularly vulnerable to the antioxidants found in white tea.
When researchers exposed fat cells to white tea extract, the triglycerides in the cells began to break down and as they reduced in number the fat cells became smaller. Over time this can result in a reduction of fatty mass leading to overall weight loss. This is why White tea is so good for us particularly for those on a controlled diet.
The results of a recent study carried out by scientific researchers at a multinational corporation in Germany (Beiersporf AG), confirmed for those reasons white tea effectively inhibits the generation of new human fat cells. They also found it stimulates fat mobilization from mature fat cells. In other words, white tea burns excess fat. It can also act as an appetite suppressant which is perfect for long term weight loss.
White tea can also help to thin the blood keeping your arteries in healthy shape. By thinning the blood, it can help lower blood pressure to safe levels, and promote healthy and free flowing blood vessels that won’t get clogged as easily, thus reducing the chance of a stroke or heart attack.
Drinking Between four and six cups of White tea every day is recommended by many experts, and of course it’s also enjoyable refreshment.
