Have you ever had one of those weeks when things just don’t feel like they are going to plan?
You keep trying your best and the results just don’t seem to be happening?

yup, it happens to the best of us!
I’ve had one or two clients in this week to got weighed and seen ZERO progress on the scales
It can be disheartening to say the least,
It makes you feel like giving up,
and you think….  why do i even bother?

Especially when you have worked so hard!

Like i say to all my clients though…
Don’t worry, just keep grafting!

If only you could see what was going on underneath the hood!

Listen to this….
When you embark on a new healthy lifestyle and you start putting GOOD food in your body…
And you start exercising a bit…
There is so many changes taking place INSIDE your body….

Your muscle mass increases in size which CAN cause slight weight gain,
and your fat cells are decreasing in size, causing you to LOSE some of the weight AT THE SAME TIME
It’s a bit like a set of measuring scales… (the old fashioned see saw ones)
One go’s up and the other go’s down!
So if one week you lose from one AND gain from the other, the weighing scales STAY THE SAME

What I’m trying to say is….
Don’t worry! have faith, that weight WILL eventually come down!

Get this…..
one pound of fat weighs exactly the same as one pound of muscle
The difference between the two?
The SIZE
So although the scales don’t move, your body is SHRINKING!

I swear, i explain stuff like this EVERY day
Some people are so obsessed with the scales though, its UNREAL (even the blokes)
Just remember, the scales are not always the best way to measure your progress!
Your weight fluctuates DAILY…
You are lighter on a morning and heavier on an evening….
Hydration levels effect your weight…
And even that special time of the month i call ‘Tin hat week’ can effect the scales too!
^^^This time of the month your body actually RETAINS water btw, making you feel bloated and of course… HEAVIER

The best way to measure your progress?
Just jump on scales every now and again, maybe once a fortnight (at the same time of day)
Or simply measure your hips and waist!
^^^^ i do this for  FRE3 for all my members down at the centre btw

So, next time you get on the scales and you see no progress…. Don’t panic!
Just remember, there IS stuff going on under the hood!
And just like I tell everyone at Bootcamp…..
Hard work ALWAYS pays of

Checkout this message I got from Nicola this week….
(she’s just left the Inner Circle cuz she smashed her targets!)
Check this….
“I joined pinch an inch 16 months after having my little boy, desperate to lose my baby weight! The first few months however i just didn’t take it serious enough, not eating right and not going to enough sessions. Darren then introduced ‘The Inner Circle’ which meant access to all of his cook books, unlimited help and support and being weighed and measured every week. He also asks you to  set achievable goals which I did and after only 6 weeks I can now fit into my pre pregnancy clothes. I feel amazing and in the right frame of mind to maintain what I have achieved.”
^^^^ pretty awesome?
