Lost your motivation?
It’s that time of year when the motivation starts to fade out and a lot of people start slipping back into their old ways!
Old eating habits creep back, convenience food seems like the easy option and the weekly beer slowly turns into school night beers!
Sound familiar?
We’ve ALL been here!
But like I’ve said to numerous clients this week that seem to be slowly losing their motivation, you NEED to ask yourself..
How bad do you want it?
You see, a few people have been telling me that they keep going round in a vicious circle. Really motivated for a short period of time, lose a bit of weight, then boom the motivation is gone, binge out and the weight creeps back on!
Seriously, if this sounds like you, you need to have a word and make some long term changes or you will always be unhappy. The routine you have and the things you’re putting in your mouth are not working. It’s time to give yourself a kick up the ass and make some positive changes..
Stop the vicious circle
It’s time to stop blaming other people, stop making excuses and take control!
Only you can do it!
Just remember, YOU are 100% responsible for the fuel you put into your body
YOU are responsible for the condition of your body
Only YOU make the decisions
And only YOU can change things!
So, if this is you and your finding yourself in a bit of rut or just simply sick of going round in circles
ITS TIME FOR CHANGE!
Do this for me…
Set yourself a goal/target and write it down! (by writing things down your doubling your chances of achieving what you want) FACT
Make a plan, put your workouts sessions into a diary and stick to them like important meetings NO EXCUSES, it’s your number one priority! (the dog ate my trainers excuse is no longer valid!) 😉
Here is one of our home workouts for when you can’t get to booked sessions- click here
Start each week with a meal plan, pick your favourite HEALTHY meals and plan them for each day of the week! Go shopping and only buy the ingredients for the chosen meals!
Plan into your diary a cheat night, ONCE PER WEEK! Something to look forward too, any meal/takeaway you like and couple of alcoholic drinks if you fancy. Science shows that having a cheat meal once in a while actually helps speed up the fat burning process. Complicated, I’ll explain in a later blog.
Stay as active as possible, remember there is 3500kcal in every pound of body fat. ALL activity burns calories! Walk the dog, take the kids for walks, wash your own car, watch less TV and try to change your habits that are not helping get to your goal!
Lastly, remind yourself regularly WHY it is important to you!
Hope this helps, stay focused
