Washington Football Ground Charity Bootcamp

Pinchaninch will be hosting a 3 hour Charity Bootcamp on Sunday June 10th 2012, everyone is welcome! We are trying to raise money for the Washington Football Club (Non profit community organisation). Over the past years, Washington Football ground has been sadly neglected in terms of funding and essential maintenance required. Vandalism and neglect has left the club looking a little run down and in need of some essential TLC.

Currently only the Washington Town F.C, Washington Colliery and other youth teams are playing from the club.  Northern League regulations mean that because the club being in such state our Washington STL Northern League team are forced to rent and play home games from the Nissan ground.  Hopefully by bringing the grounds back up to scratch we may see the return. Ongoing funding applications are underway but in the mean time we are asking our local community join us and support a local cause.

All ground keeping is ran by local Volunteers that have dedicated many years of their life to our local heritage and have carried out many charity events over the years to help raise funds. Special thanks to Derek Armstrong, Tom Boylen and Barry Spendley for their ongoing commitment.

The 3 hour long Bootcamp session will be quite a tough workout incorporating many of the High Intensity drills, tyre runs, cargo nets, assault course, tug of war, boxing and much more. Session starts at 10am till 1pm on Sunday the 10th June 2012, registration 9.30am. All fitness levels are welcome, Only 10 pound entry and Sponsorship forms are available below.
