OMEGA 3 FISH OILS
Extensive research has proved the fact Omega 3 really is crucial for our brains, hearts and immune systems. Normally found in mackerel salmon and sardines this exceedingly clever fish oil can also improve brain and memory function, good eye-development and maintenance plus the ability to reduce the risks of Alzheimer’s and strokes.
Omega 3 contains the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA vital for a number of bodily functions. Studies have shown when taken in sufficient amounts, both EPA and DHA contribute towards the maintenance of healthy blood pressure, as well as helping to maintain normal levels of triglycerides.
Most importantly,
1, Fish oils turn on the lipolytic genes (genes responsible for fat burning)
2, Fish oils turn off the lipogenic genes (that means the fat storage genes are turned off)
3, Fish oils mitigate insulin response, which means your blood sugars won’t rise as quickly and less likely to send blood sugars to fat cells.
4, They increase focus in training by improving blood flow to the brain.
6, Reduce inflammation after physical exercise and reduce pain
7, apart from all that it helps reduce high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis and much much more.
A study carried out by the University of South Australia revealed omega 3 oil improves the flow of blood to the muscles during exercise and helps to stimulate enzymes which transport fat to where it can be used up for energy. As well as this Omega three fatty acids increase your body’s production of energy and the liver function – your fat-management organ.
Remember, omega three fatty acids are essential fatty acids vital for your normal physiology. Your body can’t produce them by itself, so you absolutely must get them from food or supplements
From Omega 3 fish oil capsules to Flaxseed Oil and Pure Cod Liver Oil, there are a range of different supplements designed to help you get Omega 3’s into your diet.
Around 500 mg (1/2 gram) minimum of EPA and DHA a day for healthy people, and around 1000 mg (1 gram) a day for known heart disease patients, is recommended by the American Heart Association. Although numerous studies have shown a higher intake of 3g plus per day to be much more beneficial.

Great article. I just wanted to stress the positive role that Omega 3 plays in maintaining a healthy body. Particularly mental health. Studies have been done that show a positive correlation between increased intake of omega 3 and cognitive performance, specifically in children. I think as the research into omega 3 continues, we may reach a point where the nutrient plays a vital role in management of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer and mental disorders such as bipolar and depression.
Thanks for the comments, great points! 😉
